Acceptance
These Terms & Software License govern your access to the VYSOR website and your purchase, installation, activation, and use of the VYSOR software. By purchasing, downloading, installing, activating, or using VYSOR, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use VYSOR.
Purchase and delivery
VYSOR is offered as a one-time purchase at the price displayed before checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. Applicable taxes, currency conversion, or payment-provider charges may be determined during checkout.
After successful payment, a personal license key is displayed on the confirmation page and sent to the purchase email. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and securely retaining your key.
Software license
CurioCity Audio grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use VYSOR in its macOS standalone, AU, and VST3 formats on up to two computers controlled by that purchaser.
The license permits personal and commercial creative use of VYSOR. You retain rights in audio and original visual output that you create, subject to any rights held by others in the source materials you use.
License restrictions
You may not:
- share, sell, sublicense, rent, or transfer the license key;
- provide VYSOR as a shared service or make it available to unauthorized users;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with activation or license limits;
- copy, redistribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or derive source code from VYSOR except where applicable law expressly permits that activity; or
- use VYSOR or the website for unlawful or abusive purposes.
Final sale and exceptions
All VYSOR sales are final and non-refundable except for duplicate charges, failed license delivery, an unresolved technical failure that prevents reasonable use of VYSOR, or where a refund is required by applicable law.
Before a technical-failure refund is considered, you must contact music.curiocity@gmail.com from the purchase email and allow a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot or provide a working replacement. Approved refunds may deactivate the related license. Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Activation and support
Initial activation requires an internet connection. A personal license supports activation on up to two computers. Activation availability may depend on the license service, network access, and accurate system time.
If you replace a computer, lose your key, or encounter an activation issue, use the License Help page or contact support from the purchase email. Support does not include custom creative work, third-party host support, or guaranteed compatibility with unsupported systems.
Compatibility and updates
VYSOR is designed for the supported macOS, AU, VST3, and standalone configurations described on the product site or in accompanying documentation. You are responsible for confirming that your computer, operating system, host application, and workflow meet stated requirements before purchase.
We may provide fixes, improvements, or compatibility updates, but do not promise any particular update, feature, release schedule, or perpetual compatibility with future operating systems, hardware, or third-party hosts.
Ownership
VYSOR, its software, code, interface, visual systems, documentation, website, logos, and branding are owned by CurioCity Audio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The purchase grants a license to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of VYSOR or its underlying materials.
Third-party services
VYSOR uses third-party services for hosting, payment, licensing, and email delivery. Those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. CurioCity Audio is not responsible for outages or acts of third-party services outside its reasonable control, but will make reasonable efforts to restore purchase and activation functionality.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VYSOR is provided “as is” and “as available.” CurioCity Audio disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every system or host.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CurioCity Audio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of business arising from VYSOR. CurioCity Audio's aggregate liability relating to VYSOR will not exceed the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Termination
Your license may be suspended or terminated if you materially breach these terms, share or resell a key, interfere with activation, or use VYSOR unlawfully. Upon termination, you must stop using VYSOR and remove unauthorized copies. Provisions concerning ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Los Angeles County, California will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms for future use of VYSOR. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already required by law.
