Scope and identity
This Privacy Policy explains how CurioCity Audio collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit the VYSOR website, purchase VYSOR, receive or activate a license, or contact support.
For questions or privacy requests, contact support@music-curiocity.com.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use VYSOR, we may process:
- Purchase information: your email address, billing details, country or region, order identifiers, payment status, and purchase history.
- License information: your license key, purchase reference, activation status, and technical information needed to enforce the two-computer activation limit.
- Support information: messages, purchase email, device or software details, and troubleshooting information you choose to provide.
- Technical information: IP address, browser, device, referring page, request logs, and security or diagnostic events generated when you use the website and connected services.
- Advertising analytics: Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag record website and purchase-funnel events, while Meta Conversions API sends server-confirmed completed-purchase events. These events may include order value, currency, an order-specific event identifier, and browser, device, referral, or network information. Meta may also receive a hashed identifier derived from the purchase email for completed purchases. We use a 30-day attribution window for campaign tags and available advertising click or browser identifiers stored in your browser, and attach available attribution information to your checkout order.
Payment card numbers are entered directly into Stripe or Whop checkout, depending on the purchase route. CurioCity Audio does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and complete your order;
- issue, email, validate, and support your VYSOR license;
- prevent duplicate fulfillment, fraud, and misuse;
- respond to support, privacy, and refund-related requests;
- measure advertising performance and completed purchases through Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, and Google Ads conversion measurement;
- maintain website reliability and security; and
- meet accounting, tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.
Where applicable, these activities rely on performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing VYSOR, compliance with legal obligations, or another lawful basis available under applicable law.
Recipients and service providers
We disclose information only as needed to categories of recipients and service providers that help operate VYSOR:
- Payment and fraud-prevention providers process checkout, payment, billing, order, and fraud-prevention information.
- Licensing and activation providers create and validate software licenses using purchase references, customer email, license information, and the technical information needed to enforce activation limits.
- Transactional email providers deliver license, order, and support emails.
- Feedback and support platforms collect and organize feature requests, votes, replies, support messages, and related contact or technical information when you use those services.
- Hosting, infrastructure, storage, and delivery providers host the website and server-side functions and store or deliver signed VYSOR installer downloads.
- Advertising and measurement partners process website and completed-purchase events for advertising measurement and attribution, as described below.
The specific providers may change over time. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, VYSOR, CurioCity Audio, or others.
Cookies and tracking
The VYSOR website uses Meta Pixel for browser events and Meta Conversions API for server-confirmed purchase events. These tools may use cookies or similar identifiers to connect a website visit with a completed VYSOR purchase, including its value and currency. For completed purchases, VYSOR may send Meta a cryptographic hash derived from the purchase email for measurement, attribution, and advertising purposes. VYSOR does not send your raw email address or license key to Meta through this integration.
We also retain campaign tags and advertising click identifiers from landing requests in an encrypted first-party cookie. Campaign history expires after 30 days and Meta identifiers after 90 days. We check paid orders against purchase-delivery records to detect and retry missed reporting.
Meta receives technical information associated with these events, such as IP address, browser user agent, and Meta click or browser identifiers, and may use it according to its own privacy terms, including for advertising measurement and attribution. Browser privacy settings, content blockers, or similar controls may limit this tracking.
The Google Ads tag may receive a completed order's value, currency, order-specific transaction identifier, and associated technical or referral information for advertising measurement and attribution. This integration does not send Google your raw purchase email or VYSOR license key.
Hosting, security, and Stripe or Whop checkout may use technologies needed to provide, secure, and complete the transaction. We honor legally recognized opt-out signals where required.
Retention and security
We retain order and transaction records as needed for fulfillment, accounting, taxes, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. License records may be kept while the license remains valid and for a reasonable period afterward. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain appropriate business records.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain uses of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority.
Send requests from the purchase email, where possible, to support@music-curiocity.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required for transactions, security, legal compliance, or the establishment and defense of legal claims.
California residents may request information about applicable collection, disclosure, correction, and deletion rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on applicable law, use of Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API may be considered sharing for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. You may use browser or device privacy controls and contact us about rights that apply where you live.
International processing
VYSOR is operated from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, providers use contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
Children
VYSOR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to VYSOR, our service providers, or applicable law. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@music-curiocity.com.
